My name is Brigid Newman.  I am an Ambassador Girl Scout and a senior at Oakwood High School.  My Gold Award project focuses on improving the relationship between our local law enforcement and students.  I live in a town where we often see the Oakwood Public Safety Officers at sporting and other community events. My peers and I typically have a positive view of law enforcement with the exception when we get a speeding ticket. Coffee With  A Cop allows my classmates to not just maintain this relationship, but to improve it.  Understanding each other is the best way to break down barriers between young people and the adults who are protecting them and to make our town safer for all who call Oakwood, Ohio, home.
